Dr. Maurice W. Smith DC has been in practice since 1977 and is the owner of Oregon City Chiropractic Clinic.
Dr. Smith was born in Oregon City and lived in West Linn before moving to Portland with his family where he attended high school and college. He graduated from Portland State University in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in biology. He attend Western States Chiropractic College from 1973 until 1977, graduating Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He returned to Oregon City in 1977 to establish a chiropractic practice and has remained in active practice ever since. Dr. Smith and his wife live in the Beavercreek area and raised two wonderful daughters in the community.
The practice philosophy that Dr. Smith follows is to always place the patient's best interest first. He has spent years cultivating successful professional relationships with other medical providers in the Oregon City community and beyond, assuring his patients the best comprehensive care possible. Dr. Smith served as president of the Chiropractic Association of Oregon in 1991 and 1992. Continuing education is important to Dr. Smith and he strives to keep abreast of current advances in health care. His use of this most current chiropractic procedures complements the deep knowledge he possesses from years of practice. This assures patients receive the care that best suits their needs.
Dr. Tolonen (or Dr. T) is a Portland Native, graduating from Franklin High school and Mt. Hood Community College. Dedicated to her education she immediately enrolled at Portland State University to complete her bachelor of science. After Graduation, she planned on attending physical therapy school, but a car accident changed her plans; she instead began a doctor of chiropractic (DC) program at the University of Western States. She finished chiropractic school as well as completing a Masters of Science and an additional bachelor's degree from UWS. Dr. Tolonen became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® after passing the national exam in November 2016 and has been certified in the Webster Technique since February 2017.
